I recently returned from Lisbon, Portugal, where I was privileged to attend the City to City Europe Conference. For those unfamiliar with this remarkable ministry, City to City is a Gospel-centred, city-focused church planting network born out of the Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City and the vision of Tim Keller.
I was delighted to be in a room with over 200 European church planters and church leaders – the network has a completely European leadership – for three days of great fellowship around the Gospel. As you would expect, the talks, all given by Europeans, were very helpful.
I especially enjoyed meeting up with Union School of Theology affiliated lecturers Leonardo de Chirico and Stefan Paas; both have both planted churches that have affiliated with the City to City Europe network. You can view Stefan’s plenary talk here. Al Barth, one of the leaders of City to City who is based in New York, closed the conference by giving an encouraging look into the future that was inspiring indeed.
All in all, it was a privilege to get to know more of this wonderful Gospel ministry and I hope you will join me in praying that it will continue to flourish.
