How we help Our research stories Success for two Union PhD candidates Congratulations are due to Mike Christ who successfully passed his PhD viva recently. His dissertation was approved, subject to his completing the usual minor corrections. It is entitled A New Creation in Christ: A Historical-Theological Investigation into Walter Marshall’s Theology of Sanctification in Union with Christ in the Context of the Seventeenth-Century Antinomian/Neonomian Controversy. His examiners were David Clough (University of Chester) and Crawford Gribben (Queen’s University, Belfast). Jason Hunt, following his viva, was also approved for the PhD degree, subject to the usual minor corrections. His dissertation was entitled Cornelius Van Til’s Doctrine of God and its Relevance for Contemporary Hermeneutics. His examiners were Professor David Clough (University of Chester) and Dr. James Eglinton (University of Edinburgh). His supervisors were Professor Letham and Dr. Natalie Brand.
