€1.25m pledged for church plants in Europe

At Union, we are really excited by our friendship with the Europe Collaboration.

The Europe Collaboration is catalysing vibrant church growth all across Europe. Coordinated from their base in Oxford, this team of highly skilled researchers, experienced church planters, and mission-hearted donors share a vision to 'win Europe back for Jesus.' Through careful planning and strategic analysis, the team put the right people into the right places to maximise missional impact, and then support the work over the long term.

Union shares the same vision for Europe, and is thrilled to be one of the Europe Collaboration’s key partners.

Europe Collaboration donors have pledged a generous €1.25m over five years to support twelve ground-breaking new church plants in cities in Europe. Three of these twelve church plants will come from Union hubs, with Union students leading them. Two of our students in Italy will start new churches in Rome this year – one in San Paolo and the other in San Lorenzo. In Greece, one of the students in our Athens hub will lead a new church in a student area of Athens.

We are excited to see how these focused new leaders, with the backing of Union and the European Collaboration, will serve the Lord in two such important European cities.
