Lead pastor of Breccia di Roma church Leonardo De Chirico and lead church planter Reid Karr share the latest news about the launch of Breccia Di Roma San Paolo Evangelical church.

Previously we've shared how Union student Gianluca Piccirillo is a member of the core church planting team for Breccia Di Roma San Paolo Evangelical Church.  This church represents a great partnership between Union and our partner ministries.  In addition to having helped train one of their church leaders, San Paolo Church has received support from our partner ministry, the Europe Collaboration.  Lead pastor of Breccia di Roma church Leonardo De Chirico and lead church planter Reid Karr share the latest news about the launch of Breccia Di Roma San Paolo Evangelical church.

We are grateful to God for the provision of a public space that will be used for the Sunday morning services

 Dear Friends,

Sunday 23 September 2018 was an important date for us in that the church Breccia di Roma San Paolo began having its public services. A group of 9 members of our church was commissioned to plant a church there. San Paolo is an area of Rome where 130.000 people live, it is the place of a powerful catholic stronghold (St Paul's Basilica), the third University of Rome and the headquarters of the Lazio region).

We are grateful to God for the provision of a public space that will be used for the Sunday morning services (10.30AM). It is a wing of a school that is used by other groups and associations during the week, right in the heart of San Paolo. We ask your prayers for:

  • friends and neighbours who were invited, that God may touch their hearts

  • the series on Ephesians that will lead the first steps of the new church

  • the protection and growth of the members of the new church (Reid, Nolyn, Gianluca, Lucia, Luca, Helena, Liberato, Linda, Jason)

  • the first steps of the church in its witness so that the

  • the on-going life of the mother church Breccia di Roma in its new phase; the fragrance of the gospel will impact San Paolo

The challenge is great but we move on trusting God and the ordinary means of grace (the faithful preaching of the Word, the administration of the ordinances, the discipline of church life) empowered supernaturally by the Holy Spirit. Thank you for your prayers for us and warm greetings in Jesus Christ
